Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of general law enforcement or public contact experience.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
• FCIC certification within 90 days from date of hire.
• BLE Academy Certification and SOCE scores within 4 years of application or qualifying EOT acceptable for out-of-state applicants.

Responsibilities

• Responds to priority calls and ensures public safety on scene.
• Investigates incidents and collects evidence; preserves crime scenes.
• Prepares daily reports on crimes, accidents, and duties.
• Enforces traffic laws and directs traffic as needed.
• Provides testimony in court and outreach to the community.
