The Corona Police Department is establishing an eligibility list for future vacancies and seeks dedicated, community-focused officers. Under general supervision, you will protect lives, safeguard property, and build trust through professional service, crime prevention, and community engagement.

Candidates must meet California POST requirements, possess a valid driver’s license, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Lateral and Academy graduates welcome for future openings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operations and services of a comprehensive municipal law enforcement department.
• Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and codes including the California Penal Code, Vehicle Code, Health and Safety Codes, Welfare and Institution Codes, and the Corona municipal code.
• Principles, practices, methods, and techniques of criminal law enforcement including patrol, investigations, interrogation, and crime prevention.

• Support specialized crime prevention programs and community outreach.
• Maintain professionalism and integrity in interactions with residents and colleagues.
