Job summary

Chino Police Department is seeking experienced lateral Police Officers to join our professional public safety team. You will perform patrol, investigations, and general law enforcement duties to protect life and property in the City of Chino.

• Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D and California POST Basic Academy.
• Experience: One year as Police Officer in a CA public agency desirable.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid CA POST Basic Certificate and CA Driver's License with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with public and support community policing.
• Make presentations to public groups to promote crime prevention and public awareness.
• Collaborate with coworkers, community members, and partner agencies while delivering excellent customer service.
• Enforce laws; investigate incidents; interview victims, witnesses, suspects; gather and preserve evidence; prepare reports.
• Make arrests, serve warrants, conduct searches, transport prisoners, testify in court.
• Participate in staff briefings, training, and professional development.
• Operate and maintain vehicles, firearms, and department equipment.
