Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, pass written and physical tests, complete a POST-certified academy (Class A), and endure a thorough background investigation and medical exams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college coursework preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pass written, physical agility, oral board, polygraph, and medical exams.
• Complete state-certified police academy (Class A) and POST hours.
• Pass background check and drug screen; ability to testify.
• Must be 21+ and complete Field Training Officer program.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
