Baltimore County Police Department seeks entry-level Police Officers to perform patrol work, enforce laws, and protect public safety in Baltimore County, Maryland. Recruits undergo academy training, testing, and progressive responsibilities with opportunities for specialization.

Successful candidates will be scheduled for written and physical testing, background investigations, and field training, culminating in sworn duties and community engagement across county precincts.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old at graduation from the Police Academy.
• Must be a United States citizen at time of appointment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license equivalent to a Maryland class C is required.
• Pass a written examination, a physical agility test, and a comprehensive background investigation including psychological screening and drug test.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general patrol duties in a vehicle and on foot.
• Detect violations and identify wanted vehicles and persons.
• Conduct preliminary investigations, preserve crime scenes, and collect evidence.
• Interviews witnesses and interviews suspects as part of case work.
• Provide emergency responses, administer medical aid when needed, and assist in crowd control.
