Job summary

City of Georgetown is seeking a Logistics Technician to coordinate acquisition, receipt, storage, issuance, and disposition of uniforms, equipment, and department assets for the Georgetown Police Department. You’ll work with sworn and civilian staff, vendors, and city teams to keep critical gear available and ready.

Key duties include maintaining accurate inventory records, forecasting needs, issuing equipment, monitoring lifecycles, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, purchasing, logistics, asset management, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage quartermaster and logistics functions including procurement and inventory control.
• Maintain records, forecast inventory needs, and track equipment lifecycles.
• Purchase and issue uniforms and equipment in compliance with policies.
• Coordinate with Finance, Fleet, IT, and vendors on asset management.
• Provide logistics support for events, emergencies, and training.
• Prepare reports and improve processes for accountability and readiness.
