Sabre Industries, Inc. seeks a production welder in Texas to join the Large Pole department. You will tack weld and assemble pole components, read drawings, and prepare parts for welding, while adhering to safety standards and quality requirements.

You will operate plasma/oxy-fuel torches, grinders, and drills, and work with fitting teams to maintain efficient production in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficiency in basic shop mathematics including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret complex prints and specifications.
• Ability to read and use a weld gauge.

Responsabilités

• Welds using Flux-Cored Arc Welding to assemble pole components per drawings.
• Assembles pole assemblies on the large pole department fitter station.
• Reads drawings to determine parts and locations; gathers parts from storeroom area.
• Measures distances and angles with tape, level, square; converts units as needed.
• Cuts steel with plasma or oxy-fuel torches; uses jigs for layout and holes.
• Operates grinders, drills, and welding equipment per procedures and safety rules.
• Adjusts welding parameters and equipment to achieve required weld quality.
• Performs weld inspections and measures weld sizes with gauges.
• Loads finished poles using overhead crane and ensures production flow.
• Assists other welders and fitters to maintain quality and productivity.
