Role Description The Poker Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the poker room during assigned shifts, ensuring an efficient, safe, and guest-focused environment. This full-time, on-site role in Portsmouth, VA includes supervising poker dealers and floor staff, managing table assignments and game mix, and monitoring adherence to gaming regulations and internal policies. The Poker Shift Manager coordinates opening and closing procedures, handles guest inquiries and conflict resolution, and supports a high standard of service and game integrity. The role also involves reviewing performance metrics, assisting with scheduling, collaborating with security and surveillance teams, and communicating operational updates to leadership. The Poker Shift Manager is expected to lead by example, promote a culture of accountability and teamwork, and support training and coaching for poker room staff.
