Tioga Downs in Nichols, NY is seeking an experienced Poker Room Supervisor to lead live poker operations with a focus on integrity, guest service, and compliance with NYS Gaming regulations.

You will mentor Dealers, oversee table action, and ensure accurate data entry into the Casino Management System while maintaining a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of NYS Gaming Commission regulations.
• Knowledge of basic strategy and rules for supervised games.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mentor and coach team while maintaining gaming integrity.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to accurately enter player information into the Casino Management System.
• Remain calm and guest-focused in a fast-paced casino environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify gaming table transactions and monitor gameplay integrity in assigned areas.
• Inspect cards, chips, and gaming equipment prior to play to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Monitor all poker games for suspicious or irregular activity and respond appropriately when necessary.
• Track and monitor player rating activity, including average bets and length of play, ensuring accurate player data entry into the Casino Management System.
• Open and close games while verifying table counts provided by Dealers.
• Support Dealers through coaching, guidance, and operational assistance during live gameplay.
• Interview, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate Poker Room Dealers.
• Plan, assign, and direct work while maintaining a positive and productive team environment.
• Address associate concerns, resolve operational issues, and support a culture of accountability and teamwork.

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong knowledge of NYS Gaming Commission regulations and casino operational procedures
• Knowledge of basic strategy and rules for all supervised games
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to mentor and coach team members effectively while maintaining gaming integrity
• Strong business acumen and computer proficiency
• Ability to accurately monitor and enter player information into the Casino Management System
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and guest-focused in a fast-paced casino environment

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Poker Room Dealers on a daily basis
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, discipline, and conflict resolution

Schedule Requirements

• Casino operations run 7 days a week between 9 AM and 3 AM
• Night, weekend, and holiday availability is required
