Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Point of Care Coordinator to oversee regulatory compliance and CLIA licensure for POC testing across hospital and ambulatory sites. You will develop training programs, provide technical guidance, and coordinate staff education from pre- to post-analytical processes.

The role requires traveling to multiple testing sites and effectively communicating with physicians, nurses, and medical assistants to ensure quality control and compliance with safety

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or laboratory medical technology and four years of related laboratory experience.
• ASCP Med Technologist, upon hire or, Clinical Laboratory Technologist, upon hire or, Medical Laboratory Technician ASCP, upon hire or, Medical Laboratory Technician AMT, upon hire or, Medical Technologist AMT, upon hire.

Aufgaben

• Ensures compliance with applicable department, regulatory and safety standards related to POC activities in the hospital or clinic setting.
• Participates in the implementation and validation for new lab equipment/instrumentation; coordinates with vendors to include staff training.
• Provides technical guidance to other laboratory staff and coordinates/participates in complex technical tasks to troubleshoot escalated problems and determine quality control measures needed.
• Assists in competency reviews and conducts competency assessments by task or procedure using a standard evaluation tool.
