Penn Medicine is seeking a Laboratory Specialist to evaluate and monitor POCT systems, ensure GMP compliance, and coordinate staff training. The role focuses on quality control, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting to support accurate testing across the lab.

Responsibilities include performing QC, documenting results, and assisting with procedure instruction for students and staff. Strong teamwork and attention to regulatory standards are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor degree required.
• MLS certification or eligibility (ASCP or equivalent).
• 3+ years experience with moderate/high complexity laboratory testing.
• Qualified as general supervisor and/or technical consultant under CLIA-88.

Mansioni

• Evaluate and monitor POCT systems for GMP compliance.
• Maintain inventory of instruments; coordinate troubleshooting and validations.
• Coordinate training and competency for all staff performing POCT.
• Perform quality control and document QC results; report trends and corrective actions.
• Assist manager with instrument/network issues affecting POCT.
• Deliver in-services and instruction on procedures to staff and students.
