Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Coordinator Medical Technologists to oversee daily laboratory operations, supervise staff, and serve as a technical resource. The role requires leadership, regulatory knowledge, and strong communication with teams across the lab.

The position emphasizes quality improvement, compliance with CAP/CLIA/JCAHO standards, and collaboration with management to maintain efficient turnaround times while ensuring excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological or medical science; Masters preferred
• Five years minimum laboratory experience and MT (ASCP) certification required
• Excellent communication skills
• Advanced competency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsabilités

• Coordinates all pre-analytical activities in the laboratory during the assigned shift
• Contributes to quality improvements and leads process improvement initiatives
• Maintains a quality management system per accreditation standards
• Facilitates education and training for Lab Receiving & Processing
• Monitors productivity and turn-around times
• Oversees inventory management and evaluates new products
• Assists with staffing, budgeting, and ensuring regulatory compliance
