Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator to support the Lab Manager in delivering high-quality pediatric laboratory services.

The role oversees daily operations, serves as a technical resource, and leads shift staff to ensure accurate, timely testing. You will coordinate pre-analytical activities, drive process improvements, maintain a quality management system, and train personnel while ensuring regulatory compliance and optimal turn-around times.

Qualificações

• Minimum BS in a biological/medical science; MS preferred.
• Five years of laboratory experience and MT (ASCP) certification required.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; MS Office proficiency expected.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate all pre-analytical activities during the assigned shift.
• Lead process improvement efforts and root cause analyses.
• Maintain quality management system per accreditation standards.
• Train and educate staff, monitor productivity and turn-around times.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, CMS, OSHA and JCAHO standards.
