The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Point Defense Intelligence Support Chief to work at HQ Air Combat Command (HQ ACC), Intelligence Directorate (A2), Readiness Division (A23), Joint Base (JB) Langley-Eustis, Hampton, Virginia.
Moving expenses may be paid.
Salary: $127,646 – $165,945 per year based on experience.
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
In this position, you will serve as the lead intelligence advisor to the division chief of the Air Force Operations (A3) Point Defense Task Force (PDTF). The advisor will develop intelligence requirements to support the emerging fields of counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (counter-UAS) and point defense (the defense of a single multi-unit geographical area or vital tactical position) in both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) environments.
