Job summary

Preferred Podiatry Group in South Bend, IN, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a part‑time role delivering podiatric care in long‑term and senior care facilities. The position offers flexible scheduling and a strong emphasis on patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities include assessing and treating foot conditions, diabetic foot care, wound prevention, and mobility education, with documentation in NextGen EMR on an iPad.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited NP program.
• Active RN license and NP certification (ANCC or AANP).
• 2–5 years podiatry experience post‑training (preferred).
• Long‑term care/nursing home experience (preferred).
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, independent settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide podiatric care to residents in long‑term and senior care facilities.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat foot and lower limb conditions.
• Deliver diabetic foot care, wound prevention, and mobility education.
• Collaborate with facility staff for coordinated, patient‑centered care.
• Participate in Medicare quality programs to ensure top outcomes.
• Document visits in NextGen EMR on a company‑issued iPad.
