Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. You will work directly with patients, assist physicians, and contribute to a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Hands-on training and clinical development are provided; prior MA experience or completion of an MA program is valued, with CMA/RMA certification preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or 1+ year clinical experience
• CMA or RMA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education
• Manage lab specimens, verify insurance, pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions
• Post-operative follow-up calls and excellent customer service
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory
• Maintain documentation and HIPAA compliance
