Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our podiatry team in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will work directly with patients, support physicians, and participate in hands-on clinical training.

You will take vitals and histories, assist with procedures, manage the EMR, and ensure accurate documentation while upholding HIPAA and patient service standards. Prior MA training or experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 1+ year clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Take vitals, update histories, document in EMR.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures and post-op care.
• Apply dressings and provide patient instructions.
• Process insurance verifications and pre-authorizations; manage prescriptions.
• Open/close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage supplies.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer patient questions.
