Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our podiatry team in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will work closely with physicians, provide hands-on patient care, and participate in ongoing clinical training to grow your skills.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting with procedures, managing documentation and insurance verifications, and delivering excellent customer service across multiple office locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post‑op care, digital X‑rays, and basic podiatric services
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education
• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre‑authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed
• Make post‑operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies
• Maintain accurate documentation, support back‑office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance
