Job summary

Ankle & Foot Centers of America is seeking a Medical Assistant to support podiatry clinics. You\'ll prepare patients, take vitals, enter medical histories in Epic, escort patients, and help front office staff with scheduling and insurance verifications.

This role may require light travel to other offices and activities in casting, nail debridement, and assisting physicians during procedures. A High School diploma is required, with Epic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with Epic preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients by taking vitals and recording history in Epic.
• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms.
• Schedules surgeries and manages forms, pre-admission and consent documents.
• Assists physician with procedures and injections as directed.
• Performs nail debridement, casting and bandage applications as needed.
• Maintains instrument processing and sterile technique across rooms.
• Documents calls, updates logs and handles basic insurance verifications.
