Job summary

Ankle & Foot Centers of America is seeking a Medical Assistant to support podiatry clinics in Locust Grove, GA. You will prepare patients, take vitals, schedule appointments, and assist doctors with office and clinical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma (or equivalent) and preferably 1 year of Medical Assistant experience and Epic proficiency. Certification is a plus and light travel to other offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of medical assistant experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification is preferred and Epic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination by taking vitals and recording history.
• Escorting patients to and from exam rooms and maintaining patient flow.
• Complying with OSHA and HIPAA regulations in daily tasks.
• Schedules surgeries by coordinating with centers and preparing forms.
• Assists physicians with procedures and injections as directed.
• Casting for orthotics and below-knee casting as needed.
• Performs nail debridement and basic wound care and dressing changes.
