Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota seeks an LPN/CMA to support its Podiatry Team. You will provide direct patient care in ambulatory settings and collaborate with RNs, physicians, and providers.

Responsibilities include vital signs, assist with procedures, administer medications, coordinate care, and manage patient intake and preparation. Work 40 hours per week, day shift 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire (must pass certification within two attempts)
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state

Responsibilities

• Perform routine assessments, including vital signs and patient history.
• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Handle patient intake, prep, and education for exams or testing.
