Job summary
Essentia Health in Brainerd/Baxter, MN seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with hygiene, nutrition, comfort, vital signs, and safe transfers, while maintaining a clean, safe environment to support healing.
The role requires meeting defined education options and BLS certification within one month, with shifts including night and day, every other weekend, totaling 56 hours per two weeks.
Qualifications
- Must meet ONE of the following requirements: 6 months of patient care experience; completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program; successful completion of EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire; verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program; current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs.
- Provide comfort care and other assistance.
- Safely transfer patients as appropriate.
- Take vital signs and complete recordkeeping.
- Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to the RN.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment to promote healing.
