Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Point of Care Coordinator to oversee the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of point-of-care testing programs across departments. This role ensures POCT procedures and equipment comply with CLIA, CAP, and Joint Commission standards.

You will train and certify staff, manage inventory, conduct audits, and analyze POCT data to support decision-making and process enhancements. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology or closely related field.
• State licensure as Medical Technologist is required.
• Competency across multiple POCT specialties (1–5).

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation and management of POCT programs across departments.
• Train, certify, and mentor staff in POCT procedures and testing scenarios.
• Conduct audits and ensure adherence to regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission).
• Analyze POCT data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
