Job summary

Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, a part of the Valley Health System under Universal Health Services, seeks a POCT Coordinator to lead the Point-of-Care Testing program and ensure regulatory compliance across departments.

The role requires Respiratory Care credentials (RRT) with NBRC and state licenses, plus 2+ years in labs focusing on QA, data, and policy development. Leadership experience is preferred and a BS is recommended.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program; BS degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years lab experience with emphasis on compliance, quality assurance, data analysis, regulatory reporting, and policy development.
• Two years of leadership experience preferred.
• NBRC RRT credential; Nevada Laboratory Blood Gas General Supervisor License; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management of the Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) program across departments, ensuring regulatory and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to improve POCT accuracy, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
• Provide technical support and staff education on POCT equipment and procedures.
