• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsible for the management of Point-of Care Testing (POCT) program: The Point -of Care Coordinator (POCC) over sees the implementation and operation of POCT across various departments, ensuring that testing meets regulatory standards and quality requirements. The POCC plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of diagnostic processes, ultimately improving patient outcomes in the healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education:

Graduate of a CoARC-approved program in Respiratory Care. Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of at least two years previous lab experience with emphasis in compliance, quality assurance, data analysis, regulatory reporting, and policy development. Two year's leadership experience is preferred.

Technical Skills:

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide technical support for all POCT equipment.

License/Certification:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Nevada Laboratory Blood Gas General Supervisor License. Basic Life Support (BLS certification from the American Heart Association..

Other:

Knowledge of lab regulations and standards. Ability to educate healthcare team members.
