Job summary

Eskenazi Health, the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County in Indianapolis, seeks an Educator/Tester to perform point-of-care testing (HIV, HCV) and provide results, education, and linkage to care for eligible patients in the ED and other sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years applicable work experience.
• Complete ISDH HIV Prevention Counselor Certification within three months of employment.
• Complete HIV Clinical Education and maintain annual compliance.

Responsibilities

• POC testing: administers rapid tests, delivers results, educates patients.
• Referrals: connects patients to HIV care and prevention services.
• Engagement: collaborates with ED and clinical colleagues; advises on HIV-related protocols.
• Organizations: documents testing info in EMR, restocks station, maintains workspace.
