Job summary

Moonshot Aerospace seeks a PNT Flight Software Test & Verification Engineer to develop, integrate, and verify real-time flight and ground software for PNT subsystems. On-site in Houston, TX, you will work in C and C++, build SWIL/HWIL environments, and verify subsystem behavior against requirements.

The role emphasizes Python test automation, traceability, and collaboration with GN&C, avionics, and systems teams to support lunar and cislunar programs. Security clearance is a consideration.

Qualifications

• Depth in C and C++ on real-time, embedded targets.
• Experience with test and verification practices, including traceability to requirements.
• Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test real-time flight software for PNT subsystems in C/C++.
• Build and maintain SWIL/HWIL test environments for navigation and GN&C software.
• Develop automated test infrastructure and regression suites in Python.
• Execute software verification against requirements and document results with traceability.
• Integrate and test navigation sensors and timing interfaces (GNSS, IMUs, star trackers).
• Support bench/testbed integration of flight software with avionics.
• Troubleshoot software, interfaces, and timing anomalies; drive to closure.
• Support Test Readiness Reviews and produce test plans, procedures, and post-test reports.
• Perform post-test data reduction and navigation performance analysis.
• Work within Agile processes using Git and JIRA.
• Collaborate across GN&C, avionics, systems engineering, and customer teams.
