Job summary

Genentech in South San Francisco, CA, invites a Spring 2027 PMV internship to join a cross-functional team in Purification, Microbiology, and Virology. The 6-month program (with possible extension) runs full-time, on-site, with a location-based stipend and ownership of challenging projects.

You will work with scientists to design and analyze experiments spanning wet-lab, dry-lab, and data-driven work. Eligible candidates are pursuing or hold degrees in chemical, bio, or related

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a relevant Bachelor's/Master's/PhD degree at appropriate level.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a lab setting.
• Understanding of cGMP/GLP requirements and data analysis basics.
• Experience in biotechnology labs or industry environments.
• Familiarity with purification and scale-up concepts (chromatography, filtration).

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze wet-lab, dry-lab, or digital experiments at the interface of process development and data science.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support purification and process development projects.
• Contribute to communications, data analysis, and documentation for project deliverables.
• Support the PMV team with innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional activities.
