Job summary

Genentech in South San Francisco invites a 2027 Spring Intern for Pharmaceutical Technical Development. The program focuses on CE-based projects, evaluating dye-free detection and high-throughput CE-SDS, with collaboration across scientists to design and analyze experiments.

You will maintain thorough documentation, present findings to senior staff, and participate in professional development activities within an intensive, full-time internship starting January 2027.

Qualifications

• Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program) or be enrolled in a Master's program.
• Majors include Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biophysics, or related fields.
• Detail-oriented and self-directed with the ability to tackle complex challenges in an industrial setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with interest in advanced separation techniques like CE-SDS.

Responsibilities

• Assist capillary electrophoresis (CE) project work and evaluate new analytical technologies.
• Collaborate with scientists to design, execute, and analyze wet-lab experiments.
• Maintain rigorous documentation and report findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support technology evaluations and pathways for GMP testing environments.
