Job summary

GDIT is seeking an Operations Manager in Aberdeen, MD, to support the Worldwide Field Support PMO and report to the Deputy Program Manager for Operations and Logistics. The role coordinates daily PMO execution across operations, logistics, procurement, staffing, deployment, transition, quality, finance and site leadership, maintaining an integrated view of commitments and risks.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in operations/program management or government contracting,

Qualifications

Bachelor degree and at least eight years of operations program management experience or equivalent.
Active Secret clearance.
At least three years leading cross-functional teams or complex operational work.
Experience supporting a Department of Defense program, contract, or mission environment.
Strong written communication, briefing, meeting facilitation and executive reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Manage the integrated PMO operating rhythm with daily priorities, weekly reviews, action tracking, and executive status reporting.
Coordinate work across Program Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Recruiting, HR, Contracts, Subcontracts, Security, Quality and site leadership.
Maintain a consolidated view of program actions, owners, due dates, dependencies, decisions and risks; escalate issues needing leadership intervention.
Support transition planning for WFS Next and phased stand up of mission requirements as they emerge.
Monitor staffing, deployment, procurement, logistics and site readiness across CONUS/OCONUS locations.
Develop and maintain SOPs, trackers and management controls to improve consistency and audit readiness.
