Job summary

AltaGas Ltd. in the United States is seeking a Manager of the PMO to lead a team responsible for a portfolio of projects across utility operations.

The role ensures safe, on-time, on-budget delivery while complying with regulatory and financial requirements. You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Permitting, Accounting, Regulatory Affairs, and Executive Leadership to align the project portfolio with strategic and regulatory objectives and drive disciplined change control

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• PMP certification strongly preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive project and program management experience.
• 5+ years in a PMO leadership or portfolio management role.
• Experience delivering large capital programs in utility or regulated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain PMO standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks.
• Lead a team of project managers and ensure portfolio alignment with governance criteria.
• Report on portfolio using controls, risk, change, and QA tools.
• Oversee jurisdictional portfolio implementation and capital project optimization.
• Ensure alignment with strategic plans, rate case commitments, and asset management priorities.
• Provide leadership and mentoring within the PMO.
• Monitor portfolio performance and benefits realization.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and support audits and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Finance on rate recovery.
• Oversee cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling with monthly/weekly reports.
• Drive change control and cross-functional coordination.
• Facilitate reporting to senior leadership and resolve cross-functional issues.
