POSITION SUMMARY:
The PMO Manager leads the Global Corporate Services (GCS) Project Management Office (PMO) team, overseeing project/program managers who plan and execute the delivery of projects across multiple GCS departments, including IT, Finance, HR, and Legal, and the whole firm globally. As a team leader, you will foster an inclusive, high-performing culture by implementing best practices in project management and facilitating cross-functional collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
The PMO Manager will drive maturity in project execution, risk and issue management, reporting, and project portfolio management. While overseeing the PMO team, you may also directly manage individual projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with GCS leadership and other key stakeholders across the firm to ensure successful project outcomes.
Successful candidates will be well-organized self-starters, adept at managing shifting priorities and deadlines in a dynamic and highly decentralized environment. We seek collaborative individuals skilled at facilitating cross-team communication and working with various roles and work styles. Flexibility in applying project management methodologies to specific initiatives is critical. Candidates should excel at balancing the needs of leadership, stakeholders, committees, and internal clients through a consultative approach.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Programs and IT Business Operations within GCS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the PMO team, ensuring effective project management support across all GCS departments and the firm.
- Collaborate with department leaders and managers to define, prioritize, plan and develop projects and programs.
- Establish/update and maintain lean project governance frameworks, processes, and tools to ensure consistency and quality in project execution.
- Drive continuous improvement of project management processes and enhance the PMO team's ways of working.
- Coach, mentor, and develop project managers by providing regular, meaningful feedback and training on project management best practices.
- Mentor other teams and individuals not in project management roles on project management principles and methods, promoting their adoption in smaller teams and initiatives.
- Directly manage projects yourself, from inception to completion, as needed.
- Oversee the intake of new project requests, optimizing resource allocations and workload distribution within the PMO team.
- Create or improve project management tools and templates, evaluating the need for additional tools to centralize information and project content.
- Ensure issues and risks are managed, mitigated and consistently communicated to stakeholders, understanding their impact on the project and other work efforts.
- Identify, track, and report on PMO metrics to leadership.
- Lead the development of career paths for project managers within the GCS PMO team.
- Develop and grow the agile capabilities of the team, integrating tailored agile approaches into various projects as applicable.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- PMP certification.
- The ideal candidate must have 10+ years of progressive project management experience.
- The ideal candidate must have minimum 4 years of experience managing project managers as direct reports.
- The ideal candidate must have expert knowledge and direct experience in using all of traditional/waterfall, hybrid, and agile project methodologies, techniques, and processes.
- The ideal candidate must have experience in managing large projects involving multiple geographically diverse teams.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate and communicate with executives of all levels and domains.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and a team of project managers simultaneously.
- Ability to manage and develop project managers at various levels.
- Skill in synthesizing complex concepts into easily understood ideas and visuals.
- Skilled at achieving results collaboratively in a cross-functional organization.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
- PMI-ACP certification.
- Change Management certifications or experience with change management discipline.

- Experience in a professional services environment.
- Experience with enterprise transformation programs/projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and/or Power Apps.
LOCATION:
This is a remote role. The job posting is expected to close on June 30th, 2025.
COMPENSATION:
The overall salary range for this role is $104,900 - $207,720.
For candidates residing in:
- Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia: $115,390 - $190,410.
- New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco: $125,880 - $207,720.
- All other locations: $104,900 - $173,100.
A combination of factors will be considered, including education, experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
