Corporate Environmental Risk Management, LLC is seeking a PMO Leader to establish and oversee the Project Management Office for engineering projects across the organization. You will standardize methodologies, tools, and processes, coordinate cross-functional teams, and govern portfolios to optimize resources and mitigate risk.

You will report to executive leadership and guide project managers and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s degree required in construction/engineering/business disciplines.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive project management experience in construction.
  • Proven experience leading a PMO or multiple large-scale engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycle: planning, scope, scheduling, budgeting, risk, and closeout.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Ability to communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.

Mansioni

  • Develop, implement, and maintain PM frameworks, standards, and best practices for construction projects.
  • Lead and mentor project managers and coordinators to ensure consistent PM principles.

About the Role:


The PMO Leader in is responsible for establishing and overseeing the Project Management Office to ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects across the organization. This role involves developing standardized project management methodologies, tools, and processes that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The PMO Leader will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project portfolios, and provide strategic guidance to optimize resource allocation and mitigate risks. They will serve as a key liaison between executive leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ultimately, the PMO Leader drives project excellence, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management within the construction industry.

  • Proven experience leading a Project Management Office or managing multiple large-scale complex engineering projects.

  • Strong knowledge of engineering project lifecycle, including project planning, scope management, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, risk management, and project closeout.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Supervisory experience is required.

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and effectively communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Business Administration.

  • Experience with project management and professional services platforms such as Deltek, Ajera, Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar systems.

  • Familiarity with Lean Construction principles and sustainable building practices.

  • Experience developing and implementing PMO standards, policies, procedures and performance metrics.


Responsibilities:

  • Continuously evaluate project performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Coordinate with finance and procurement departments to monitor budgets, contracts, and vendor performance.

The PMO Leader utilizes strong organizational and leadership skills daily to coordinate complex construction projects and guide project teams toward successful outcomes. Analytical skills are essential for assessing project risks, resource allocation, and performance metrics to make informed decisions. Effective communication skills enable the PMO Leader to liaise with diverse stakeholders, including executives, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring alignment and transparency. Proficiency with project management software tools supports efficient scheduling, budgeting, and reporting activities. Additionally, knowledge of construction industry standards and regulatory requirements ensures that projects comply with safety and quality expectations while driving continuous process improvements.
