Job summary

Total Plastic Solutions, LLC in Lynchburg, VA seeks a PMO Lead to own and execute Post Molding Operations on the assigned shift. You will drive material flow, optimize machine utilization, and deploy personnel to meet production, quality, and delivery goals.

Responsibilities include training operators, coordinating daily schedules, and improving line efficiency across secondary operations while ensuring compliance with procedures, ISO standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and develop manufacturing teams.
• Experience training operators and implementing continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and urgent decision-making on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Own all PMO activities for the assigned shift.
• Ensure jobs are executed as per schedule and priority.
• Maintain material flow from molding through PMO to shipping.
• Drive completion of work orders on time and in full.
• Ensure two-week visibility of job packets and material readiness.
• Escalate shortages, constraints, or risks proactively.
• Train operators on work instructions, defect identification, equipment operation, handling and packaging, and shift reporting.
• Maintain cross-training across stations to ensure flexibility.
• Hold staff accountable for performance and procedures.
• Maximize PMO equipment utilization.
• Engage operators in value-added work and reassign labor as needed.
• Ensure all parts meet customer specs and quality standards.
• Prevent excess WIP and unidentified material.
• Support line clearance and labeling.
• Lead Lean initiatives: 5S, waste reduction, standard work, visual management.
• Complete Daily Rundowns.
• Report to Asst Production Manager.
• Follow ISO requirements to maintain Quality Management System.
