Job summary

Plasman Precision Parts LLC is seeking a Plastic Injection Molding Process Tech Lead for 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will lead the setup, qualification, and improvement of production molds using Plasman's methodology, guiding teams and ensuring production readiness.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting molding processes, applying PPAP/TS standards, analyzing process data, and leading cross-functional meetings to drive lean improvements and on-time product launches.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Technical training in injection molding.
• Experience in thermoplastic injection molding set-up and processing.
• Understanding of molding machine principles and functions.
• Knowledge of plastic resins and their processing differences.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting molding processes and resin capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and initiate existing processes using Plasman's methodology.
• Qualify molds and manage prototype molds through tryouts until production-ready.
• Evaluate molds and processes, recommend changes for production improvements.
• Develop and document production process specifications (molds, cycles, equipment).
• Troubleshoot molding machine deficiencies and implement changes with support teams.
• Apply PPAP and TS procedures to maintain quality standards.
• Investigate customer complaints and product rejects and verify corrective actions.
• Lead pre-design, design review, and pre-production meetings.
• Develop on-the-job training for manufacturing personnel.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles (5S, takt time, kanban, standard work).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
