Job summary

Prism Plastics, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Lead Process Technician for the 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. shift.

You will oversee shift operations, ensure peak productivity, and manage mold changes while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, experience with molding processes, and a drive to improve efficiency and product quality. Responsibilities

• Oversee/Manage your specific shifts operations.
• Assure plant floor is operating at peak productivity, as evidenced by a safe, clean and accident free environment.
• Thorough and quick mold changes.
• Successful startup, bucket length and shutdown quality.
• Maximize the shifts GPPH (good parts per hour) output.
• Assure thorough parting line cleanings are performed at least once per shift, more depending on the product.
• Assure product quality through machine process limits, machine auto reject alarms, and part inspection to the control plan.
• Adhere to the First and Last Shot Check sheet; perform Control Plan Checks with Quality Reporting via data systems.
• Establish limits and guidelines for approved processes; monitor processes.
• Participate in Manufacturing Team Meetings and monthly Quality Operating System meetings; communicate metrics to direct reports.
• Complete shift hand-off to the next shift/customer with materials ready for at least four hours into the next shift and a clean, organized floor at hand-off.
• Complete employee evaluations for subordinates; establish and evaluate effectiveness of work instructions; look for continuous improvement opportunities.
