Job summary

City of San José seeks a senior PMO Division Manager to lead the Project Management Office, driving technology initiatives and delivering business value across City departments. You will supervise a team of about eight, manage a portfolio of 75+ initiatives and 40+ systems, and collaborate with IT leadership to advance digital services.

You will lead agile and waterfall practices, governance, and strategic planning to strengthen Citywide capabilities and ensure project success and measurable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related field; six years of progressively responsible related experience.
• Three years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver portfolio, product, and project management across City departments.
• Lead the PMO division with ~8 contributors and manage a large project portfolio (75+ initiatives, 40+ systems).
• Develop strategic plans, budgets, architectures, and roadmaps to plan, execute, and resource initiatives.
• Hire, coach, and develop performance management; use agile and waterfall methods and OKRs.
