Job summary

The AES OH PMO Team is offering a student internship to contribute to projects that meet customer growth, improve reliability, and deliver quality service. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute project plans from inception to completion.

You will assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting using tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, while gaining real-world experience in the electric utility industry and infrastructure

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced setting.
• Interest in the electric utility industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers in planning and tracking electric utility projects, focusing on substation and transmission line projects.
• Help prepare schedules, budgets, and progress reports using MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and procurement teams to ensure materials and resources are in place.
• Participate in site visits to observe construction progress, safety, and quality control.
• Support documentation for regulatory compliance and environmental permitting.
• Contribute to process improvement by analyzing project data and identifying efficiency opportunities.
