Job summary

The AES OH PMO Team in Dayton, OH invites students pursuing engineering, construction management, or business to join as an intern. You will contribute to projects that improve reliability and customer service while gaining real‑world experience on substations and transmission line initiatives.

You'll assist project managers, help prepare schedules and budgets using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, coordinate with engineering, construction, and procurement, and participate in site visits.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management software.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers in planning and tracking electric utility projects with substation and transmission focus.
• Help prepare project schedules, budgets, and progress reports using MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and procurement teams to ensure materials and resources are in place.
• Participate in site visits to observe construction progress, safety practices, and quality control.
• Support documentation for regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, and internal reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements by analyzing project data and identifying efficiency opportunities.
