Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a PMIC and Power Bench Validation Intern for our Santa Clara, CA office. You will work on board development using PCB tools to craft schematics and PCBs, and on software that communicates with hardware including microcontrollers and power devices.

The role requires pursuing a BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with a strong electronics foundation and hands-on lab experience.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Solid electronics background including analog, digital, and power electronics.
  • Firmware programming experience (Python, C/C++).
  • Familiar with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs and waveform generators.

YOUR ROLE

ST is excited to welcome a PMIC and Power Combo Bench Validation Intern at our ST office located in Santa Clara, CA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Board development using PCB tools to create schematics and PCBs
  • Software development to communicate to hardware (microcontroller and power devices)
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid electronics background in:
    • \- Analog, digital and power electronics (up to a few kW)
    • \- Regulators (linear, switching, synchronous, negative, charge pump)
    • \- DAC and ADC
  • Firmware/software programming experience (Python, C, C++)
  • Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
  • Experience with typical lab equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, waveform generators)
  • Reliable self-starter who can work autonomously
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Focused on delivering measurable results
  • Sense of urgency and can efficiently manage priorities

At STMicroelectronics, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base hourly rate range for this role is between $32 and $43 USD.
