Brave Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to assess and treat patients across the lifespan, focusing on mental health and addiction care. The NP will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate treatment strategies, including psychotherapy and medication management.

The role emphasizes telehealth and in-person care in a patient-centered, HIPAA-compliant setting, with a strong commitment to accessible care for diverse populations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Board-certified PMHNP license.
• Experience in Addiction and Mental Health.
• Telehealth experience and comfort with video communication.
• Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ mental and physical health based on symptoms and complaints.
• Develop, implement and evaluate treatment plans.
• Diagnose psychiatric disorders and mental health conditions.
• Order diagnostic tests (EKG, labs) as needed.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications and educate patients on risks/benefits.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatments.
• Document medical and psychological histories and treatment outcomes.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation in the EHR.
