Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking a Tissue Machines Shift Supervisor to oversee shift operations, lead a skilled team, and drive safety, quality, and productivity in the tissue machine department. You will manage scheduling, oversee maintenance, and work cross-functionally to meet targets in a fast-paced paper manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, incident investigations, and continuous improvement in safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of operational/mechanical experience in a paper mill or converting facility preferred.
• 3+ years of direct industrial supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Knowledge of industry quality systems and testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop personnel while ensuring safety, quality, and production standards.
• Lead safety meetings and incident investigations while enforcing PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and chemical handling procedures.
• Manage tissue machine production schedules to meet or exceed targets and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain positive labor relations, manage staffing needs, and address performance or disciplinary matters.
• Promote effective communication and a positive work environment across departments.
• Track employee performance and conduct evaluations to support engagement and productivity.

We are seeking a Tissue Machines Shift Supervisor to oversee shift operations, personnel management, and production efficiency in our tissue machine department.

This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and equipment maintenance, while leading and developing a team to meet operational goals.
