Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking a Tissue Machines Shift Supervisor to oversee shift operations, lead a production team, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in the tissue machine department. This role focuses on maintaining high performance, managing schedules, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced mill environment.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of operational or mechanical experience in a paper mill or converting facility, along with strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operational/mechanical experience in a paper mill or converting facility preferred.
• 3+ years of direct industrial supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Knowledge of industry quality systems and testing methods.
• Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environments with noise and machinery.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop personnel while ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are met.
• Lead safety meetings and incident investigations while enforcing PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and chemical handling procedures.
• Manage tissue machine production schedules to meet or exceed targets and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain positive labor relations, manage staffing needs, and address performance or disciplinary matters.
• Promote effective communication and a positive work environment across departments.
• Track employee performance and conduct evaluations to support engagement and productivity.

We are seeking a Tissue Machines Shift Supervisor to oversee shift operations, personnel management, and production efficiency in our tissue machine department.

This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and equipment maintenance, while leading and developing a team to meet operational goals.

• Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environments with noise and machinery.
