Job summary

Wyndham Deerfield is seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer to oversee maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other hotel systems. The PM shift runs 3:30PM-11:30PM, Monday through Thursday, with weekend availability as needed.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, and diagnose and fix issues while ensuring safety standards are met to deliver a safe guest experience. A bachelor's degree and 3+ years in hotel engineering or construction are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel engineering and/or construction.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all hotel systems, including electrical, plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems.
• Ensure that all safety and health regulations are followed.
• Inspect and test hotel systems on a regular basis.
• Identify and diagnose problems in hotel systems and make necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hotel systems.
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings as necessary.
• Respond to guest complaints and emergency calls.
• Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Prepare and submit reports on maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure that all work is properly documented.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
