Job summary

Hello Betty Bethesda, anchored in the Pike & Rose community, is a 3,000-square-foot restaurant on the 3rd floor of the Canopy by Hilton in Bethesda, featuring a 40-foot Delta Deadrise boat bar and a Tea Room for private events. The boat bar offers a unique outdoor dining space and seasonal operations.

Under general supervision, servers greet guests, take orders, handle payments, and ensure a high standard of service while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of customer service principles and restaurant operations.
• Must know standard cash-handling procedures.
• Must be fluent in oral and written English.
• Must have vision to read checks and instructions in dim light.
• Must coordinate multiple tasks and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Greets and takes food and drink orders from guests, serving orders and accommodating requests.
• Remains attentive to guests throughout dining experience and maintains service standards.
• Performs restocking and cleaning duties as instructed.
• Memorizes menu items to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Maintains cleanliness in restaurant and service areas to meet health standards.
• Processes payments accurately and documents transactions.
• Attends pre-meal and departmental meetings to strengthen communications.
• Responds to inquiries with timely and knowledgeable information.
