Job summary

StepStone Hospitality is seeking a friendly, energetic team member to join our restaurant family in Indianapolis. You will greet guests, guide menu selections, and deliver exceptional service while maintaining smooth seating and flow of dining.

This role requires a licensed alcohol server, weekend availability, and the ability to handle cash responsibly. Candidate should be comfortable with lifting and standing for extended periods, and possess prior guest service experience to ensure every

• Welcome every guest with warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine hospitality, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive.
• Assist the host or hostess with seating guests and maintaining a smooth flow of service.
• Present menus, answer questions, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, beverages, wine pairings, and menu preparation.
• Develop a strong understanding of our menu offerings, daily specials, wines, and key ingredients to confidently guide guests in their selections.
• Deliver attentive, professional service that enhances each guest’s dining experience.
• Accurately process payments and maintain compliance with all cash handling and financial procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including Weekends and/or Holidays.
• Shift consists of Lunch and/or dinner 2pm to 9pm or 5pm to 12am.
• Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity
• Previous guest service experience is required.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis.
• Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of guests and co-workers.
• Hearing, writing, typing.
• Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Must be licensed to serve alcohol.
• Must possess unexpired or obtain an Indiana Server permit within 14 days of employment.
