Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital Radiology is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment, perform diagnostic procedures, and maintain patient safety and image quality. The role involves PM or midshift with weekend, call, and holiday rotations, and may include offsite locations.

Candidate must graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and have ARRT certification or eligibility, with IEMA accreditation and ongoing CPR as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or Certificate Eligible; must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered by a physician.
• Maintains infection control and ALARA principles.
• Ensures accurate patient identification and history collection for procedures.
• Documents procedures and maintains RIS/HIS data.
• Labels radiographs per department standards and supports quality assurance.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness and supplies, and participates in ongoing learning.
