Job summary

MRG Exams in Oakland seeks a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to perform independent medical assessments for veterans. This non-treating role focuses on reviewing medical records, evaluating patients, and completing VA-provided DBQs through a secure online portal.

Qualifications

• Active MD or DO with PM&R specialization.
• Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology preferred; two-year residency in a relevant specialty considered.

Responsibilities

• Review veterans' medical records through secure portal.
• Conduct non-treating evaluations and document current health conditions.
• Complete and submit VA DBQs based on VA templates.
• Ensure DBQs are thorough, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours.
• Assess up to four veterans daily.
