Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department to join the adult health team at the CU Hospital. This full-time Instructor role includes clinical care, teaching, research, and professional development opportunities.

The APP will provide comprehensive spine and rehab care, coordinate referrals, and participate in department meetings while leveraging EPIC for message triage and patient

Qualifications

• NP or PA graduate with current Colorado license.
• Meets Nursing Credential Review Board / Medical Review Board requirements.
• Current BLS certification or within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive care to spine and rehabilitation patients (minimum 8 clinic sessions per week).
• Provides appropriate follow-up with patients, families, PCPs, and staff.
• Coordinates referrals to PT, OT, nutrition, orthopedics, neurosurgery.
• Participates in educational activities and applies findings to practice.
• Acts as a resource for patients, families, faculty, and staff.
• Delivers excellent service in interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Manages EPIC in-basket for assigned attending providers (triage/response).
• Attends department meetings and collaborates with other APPs.
