Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver, CO, is seeking an Instructor-level Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The APP will practice across multiple sites including Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree, focusing on spine and rehabilitation medicine with opportunities for teaching and research.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
• Proven ability to evaluate patients with high complexity, medically and psychosocially.
• Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment.
• Desire to learn and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive care to patients with spine and rehabilitation medicine needs (minimum 8 clinic sessions per week).
• Provides appropriate follow-up with patients/families, primary care physicians, nursing and administrative staff.
• Coordinating appropriate appointments (PT, OT, nutrition, orthopedics, neurosurgery).
• Participates in educational activities and incorporate findings into practice.
• Provides and/or serves as a resource for patients/families, faculty, and staff.
• EPIC in-basket message management for assigned attending providers (triage and answer).
• Attend Department academic meetings and grand rounds.
• Work collaboratively with other APPs in the Department.
